The 2019 Subaru Forester e-Boxer is a versatile and fuel-efficient SUV that combines Subaru’s renowned all-wheel-drive capability with hybrid technology, making it an excellent choice for Kenyan drivers who want comfort, safety and confidence on a wide variety of roads. Whether you’re navigating city traffic, travelling upcountry or exploring rough terrain, the Forester e-Boxer is designed to handle it all with ease.
Under the bonnet, the Forester e-Boxer features a 2.0-litre Boxer petrol engine paired with an electric motor and battery system. This mild-hybrid setup improves fuel efficiency, provides smoother acceleration and helps reduce engine workload during low-speed driving. The hybrid assistance is especially useful in stop-and-go traffic, while Subaru’s Lineartronic CVT transmission ensures smooth and seamless power delivery. Combined with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, the vehicle offers excellent grip and stability in wet, muddy or uneven conditions.
Inside, the Forester e-Boxer offers a spacious and well-designed cabin focused on comfort and practicality. The seats are supportive and comfortable for long journeys, while the large windows and upright seating position provide excellent visibility. There is generous legroom and headroom for both front and rear passengers, making it a great family vehicle. Common features include dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and push-button start, touchscreen infotainment, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, depending on specification.
Safety is one of the Forester’s strongest selling points. The 2019 model is commonly equipped with Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane departure warning and lane keep assist. Additional safety features typically include multiple airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, Hill Descent Control and a reverse camera. These systems work together to provide excellent occupant protection and driver confidence in a wide range of driving situations.
On the road, the Forester e-Boxer delivers a comfortable and composed driving experience. The suspension absorbs bumps and rough surfaces effectively, making it well suited to Kenya’s varied road conditions. The Boxer engine’s low centre of gravity helps improve stability through corners, while the all-wheel-drive system ensures confident handling on gravel roads, muddy tracks and slippery surfaces.
Overall, the 2019 Subaru Forester e-Boxer is a practical, safe and capable SUV that offers the benefits of hybrid efficiency without compromising Subaru’s legendary all-weather and off-road performance. With its spacious interior, advanced safety technology, excellent visibility and dependable all-wheel-drive system, it is an ideal choice for families, professionals and adventure-minded drivers looking for a reliable SUV that can comfortably handle both city life and outdoor exploration.
