Under the hood, the standard petrol version is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine paired with a CVT automatic transmission. It’s not about raw speed—the C-HR takes about 11 seconds to hit 100 km/h—but it does fine for daily driving, cruising, and inner city use. Fuel economy is one of its strong points: expected figures are about 12 km/L combined in mixed driving (and better in steady highway conditions). For the hybrid variants (1.8-litre petrol-electric), fuel savings are noticeably higher, especially around town.
Inside, the cabin is well appointed. The C-HR offers seating for five, although rear legroom is a bit tight for taller occupants. Standard features include air conditioning, a touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, power mirrors and windows, and alloy wheels. In higher trim levels you’ll find upgrades like a reverse camera, pushed-button start, LED lighting, and hybrid display gauges on the dashboard.
